Flathead River
Still fishing well for Lake Whitefish. The river is in good shape- nice and clear water. Also hearing about a good number of Cutthroat and Rainbows along with a few Lake Trout. Be sure to check your regulations as most rivers & streams close December 1st. The Flathead river does stay open, but with strict regulations. Lower Flathead River: near the Sportsman’s Bridge is fishing well in holes. Pulling out Lake Trout and Whitefish.
Koocanusa
Fishing well for Bull Trout and a few Rainbows mixed in. Try from Rexford south toward Bridge. Trolling plugs or flies seems to be the best options.

Ice Reports:
We haven’t seen any safe ice in Northwest Montana yet. A few lakes are starting to show some, but nothing safe for ice fishing. Look for Smith, Lower Stillwater, Rodgers and Island Lake to be the first to freeze.

Georgetown Lake
over by Anaconda has 4”-6” of ice at last report. Look for good Salmon, Brookies and Rainbow fishing.
