Vandalism destroys vault toilet at Pirogue Island State Park

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is seeking information about recent vandalism at Pirogue Island State Park near Miles City.

Sometime between Oct. 9 and Oct. 14, a firework or similar device was used to blow up the vault toilet at the park, causing extensive damage and leaving a large mess. The structure that houses the vault toilet was not destroyed. The latrine is currently unusable.

If anyone has any information about this incident, he or she is urged to call FWP Warden Frank Blundetto at 853-7900, or call 1-800-TIP-MONT. Callers may remain anonymous.
