General Opening for Fishing 2015 – Montana Fishing Reports 5/16/15

It is the opener of general fishing season here in Big Sky Country. Find out where the fish are biting beofore you go, with reports from around the state.

-Bill from Bob Wards says in the Big Hole is doing really well. Good for floating or fishing. In the Hamilton areas the Bitterroot River is doing really well.  In the Missoula area Flathead Lake is the place to be despite the rain doing really well.
-Bill from Rock Creek Marina says the fishing’s really starting pick up.
-Bobby Culp Montana Outdoor Correspondent has a report from Canyon Ferry Reservoir. 
-Brett French Outdoor Editor of the Billings Gazette talks about Montana water levels and the possible impacts to Montana Fisheries. And he also describes his weekly article at Montanaoutdoor.com.
-Cindy of the Spring Mack Days shares the latest reports and stories from the Tournament.
-Dale from Don’s in Lewistown says paddlefishing has been a little slow, but says drum & catfish fishing has been good.

Sharon from The Silos from Canyon Ferry Reservoir says folks are doing well at the top of pons 1 of Canyon Ferry Lake. So Trout and walleye have been doing well.
-Tammy from Northwestern Sports in Eureka the run off this year is pretty minimal, and area fishing conditions are great.
