Big Sky Ski set to Spend $150 Million in 10 Years

If you skied Big Sky Ski Resort this year, you know that it has seen some heavy lift ticket price spikes along with some amazing new features.  The latest is a $6.5 million six-person high speed chairlift with heated seats, foot rest and drop down wind shield, which cut the ride to the bowl from 10 minutes to 3 minutes and is now the most tech savy chairlift in North America.  Big Sky announced that the chairlift is part of a $150 million, 10 year plan which includes snow making machines and housing units for it’s seasonal employees.  The one question on peoples minds are just how high can ticket prices go and skiers still willing to pay them?  Currently, a day ticket to Big Sky is $129 with the priciest resort in the nation at $175.
