If the Blackfoot is where you want to go fishing, take a look at what The Kingfisher Fly Shop in Missoula has to say about it as of April 12th here:

The Blackfoot has slowly been on the drop and is fairly clear. A glacial green look to it. Pretty chilly up here as of late. Fishing might be a bit slower than other rivers, but you should have the place to yourself. During the heat of the day you might find some dry fly opportunities, but it has primarily been a nymph and streamer game. The lower river has been fishing much more consistent, with the warmer water temps comes more bug activity. Any stretches above Johnsrud or Whitaker Bridge have been much more of a roll of the dice, since its still been pretty cold up there. Nymphing in the morning will keep you busy until things warm up. Double beaded stones, TJ hookers, zirdles, deep cleaners, San Juan worms, tungsten jig stones, mega princes, and jig slumlords are all good choices. Double gongas, double dirty hippies, and wedge heads fished deep will be your best strategy.
