The Captain and Joe Moline from Lewistown traveled around in Northeast Montana looking for ice and ice anglers. They finally found both at Nelson Reservoir.
Nelson Creek on Fort Peck had ice but reports are four inches, evidently too little for ice anglers, as no ice holes had been drilled, and no anglers were fishing.
The Fort Peck dredge cuts had ice but not safe enough to go out on yet.
