Reeling in Memories: 8-Year-Old Conquers Fort Peck Through the Elements

Talk about an awesome fishing trip memory made!

Jake Schrock took his eight-year-old son, Michael, out on Montana’s Fort Peck for his very first salmon trip, and the kiddo turned out to be quite a trooper! Despite battling 12-hour stretches on the lake through “wind, smoke, flies and brutal heat,” Michael kept a huge smile on his face, as you can see, the entire time while hauling in six lake trout and his very first Chinook!

The young angler capped off the three-day grind with a monster 10-pound laker and a massive 19-pound king salmon to boot, proving he already has the makings of a die-hard fisherman!

Congratulations, Michael!
