Trace Louis Hilburn cherished the outdoors, particularly fishing and spending time with loved ones. In his memory, his mother Kayla initiated the Trace’s Tacklebox Kids Fishing Clinic to foster a love for nature among children. The inaugural event engaged 39 kids, teaching them skills while creating lasting family memories and community bonds.

At just two years old, Lettie Mae Dempster celebrated her first catch, a Largemouth Bass, on the banks of the Yellowstone River near Billings. Despite her reluctance to touch the fish, her excitement remained high as she looked forward to casting another line alongside her aunt and uncle. Congratulations, Lettie!

The Great Falls Family Fishing Day is set for Saturday, June 6, from 9 a.m. to noon at Wadsworth Pond Park. This free event offers educational fishing clinics for all ages, including fish identification and knot tying. Participants can fish all day without a license after the clinic, promoting community engagement.
