Montana’s Youth Waterfowl Weekend is flying in Sept. 26–27, giving hunters ages 15 and under a chance to get out and chase ducks, geese, mergansers and coots statewide.
Licensed hunters ages 12–15 who have completed hunter education must bring along a nonhunting adult 18 or older. Certified apprentice hunters ages 10–15 need a nonhunting mentor who is at least 21.
All hunting regulations apply, and if Canyon Ferry WMA is on your radar, remember that hunting hours are limited to a half-hour before sunrise until noon.
Grab your gear, bring your mentor and get ready for a weekend that’s all about the next generation of waterfowl hunters!
