Drone Misuse in Yellowstone National Park Angers Onlookers

An amateur drone operator learned the hard way that violating Yellowstone National Park rules is a great way to anger both park rangers and a crowd of protective tourists. While onlookers were watching Beryl, a famous resident grizzly mama, and her two cubs, a small white drone began buzzing dangerously low over the bears, sparking instant outrage from the crowd.
The confusion over who owned the rogue tech ended abruptly when a park ranger cut through the noise, firmly demanding to know who was operating the device. Flying uncrewed aircraft is strictly illegal in Yellowstone—a rule meant to protect the wildlife, avoid hefty fines, and prevent anyone from finding out exactly what a furious mama grizzly does to a low-flying piece of plastic.
