Fort peck Dam is celebrating its 75th anniversary on Saturday, June 23rd. We want to encourage anyone in the Fort Peck Area to attend. Click here for a schedule of events this weekend and a program for our Saturday morning Dedication Ceremony. During the Dedication Ceremony, we will honor the 61 individuals that died on the job during construction of the dam. People who want to attend can park at Kiwanis Park or the Interpretive Center and buses will shuttle them to the Dam Overlook for the Ceremony. We will also have our District commander, Colonel Robert Ruch speak on the significance of the Fort Peck Dam and Lois Lonnquist, author of “50 Cents an Hour” will talk on what life was like during construction of the dam.
