With new fires popping up and being put out so frequently during this typical Montana summer, you might be wondering how you can keep up with what areas are closed so that you can get some good fishing going. For example, if you were planning to shore fish at Bear Paw Lake FAS, you might want to know what to expect when you get there, as it is closed.
The good news is that the FWP website has an updated list of all areas with fire/drought restrictions and closures. Well, actually the list is 5 days old, but still. It is probably a good idea to take a look at it before you plan your next camping/fishing adventure–just to be safe.
