Montana saw Antelope and Pheasant seasons open this weekend. Hear where the antelope play and where the fish are biting, from the latest edition of the Montana Outdoor Radio Show.

Bill Brown at Bob Wards talks about the start of youth hunting season, and the improved weather for fishing has really turned on the Bitterroot River.
Brett French Outdoor editor of the Billings Gazette shares part of his post of a survival story of a bear attack from 21 years ago in Wyoming, 250 stitches in a 3 ½ hour surgery.
Chancy at Snappy’s says the Whitefish are starting show up in the Flathead River. You can try down by were the Little Still Bridge used to be, or up off the ColumbiaFallsBridge.
Dallas at Highline Cleaners in Chester says late in the season like right now, shore fishing has been good down off the dock down by the marina, but boat fishing has been a struggle.
John Harris from Lakeside Resort says Noxon Rapids Reservoir been quite now that hunting season is in full force, but has had several reports of pike and a neighbor kid got his 1st black bear.
Leonard from Robert’s Bait and Tackle says fishing has been pretty slow because of the Government shut down. The only place to put in on Holter is down at the Gate of the Mountains. 
Matt from Mo Fisch says it’s a great time of year for fishing FlatheadLake while the Lake Trout are in their pre-spawn to spawn mode, and says hit the shorelines and Rock points. To book a fishing trip call Matt at 755 -4414
Robert from Malta Marine says fishing on Nelson is good when the wind isn’t blowing too much. And a guy from Glasgow did get a skinny 32 incher last week as well.    
Ron Aashiem of Montana FWP says with the opening of Antelope and Pheasant Season, last season 16,000 hunters took only 10.000 which was very low compared to years past.  For more information go to fwp.mt.gov.     
Ryan from Bob Wards in Bozeman encourages hitting the Madison, and advises hunters on food storage regulations and camping restrictions.  In the Helena areas, pheasant hunters should do well, and antelope will far between the sightings.
Shelby from Rocky Mountain Supply in Dillon says some areas around Glenn, Whitehall, and Twin Bridges the pheasant is good.  There’s a lot people in the area hunting for antelope during the open in the Dillon area.
Woody from Woody’s Lures in Townsend says fishing the rivers are hot.
