Region 2 of Montana Fish, wildlife & Parks (FWP) has issued a Decision Notice to proceed with its proposal to renew a 6-year Cooperative Habitat Management Lease Agreement with the E Bar L Ranch (O. W. Potter Exemption Trust).
Under this arrangement, 17.4 acres of tame grass pasture on FWP’s Blackfoot-Clearwater Wildlife Management Area (NE of Potomac in Missoula County) will be leased for livestock grazing by the Ranch, in exchange for year-round resting 151.6 acres of elk winter range on the Ranch.
