Grizzly Relocated After Killing Domestic Sheep Near Avon
Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) relocated a female grizzly bear this week that was responsible for killing a domestic sheep just east of Avon on
Sunday, Aug. 2.
USDA Wildlife Services captured the bear on Monday near the site of the livestock depredation. The 271 pound female grizzly had no prior history of
killing livestock. FWP radio collared the bear before relocating her to the South Fork of the Flathead on the edge of the Great Bear Wilderness on Tuesday.
