14 year-old Luke Heaphy from Missoula was pretty pumped!
He was hunting with his dad, Ike on youth hunting day they spotted the deer bedded in a coulee and hen stocked it and shot it about 75 yards! Luke used the same gun that his dad hunted with as a kid.. 243
They traveled north of Havre (area 600) and hunted on Ike’s brother-in-law’s place.
Had it dressed out and in truck by 9 am and THEN they hunted birds for 2.5 days!
