Know Before You Go Avalanche Awareness

Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) will host the Friends of the Flathead Avalanche Center (FOFAC) for a Know Before You Go Avalanche Awareness presentation at Lone Pine State Park on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 4:00pm to 5:00pm.

When recreating in avalanche country, be safe and know before you go. Learn general information about avalanche hazard, how to avoid it, and the proper equipment to carry when traveling in avalanche terrain. From experienced back-country skiers to front country snowman-making champions this is a wonderful opportunity to refresh your avalanche knowledge or get an introduction to avalanche safety.
