From the Musselshell Sheriff’s Office

This release follows another one last Sunday in which three mature bull elk were shot and left to rot near Roundup.

Another bull elk has been discovered in the southwest part of Musselshell County. The bull was shot and left to rot like the other bulls. The bull is 25 miles away from where the other bulls were killed. The landowner believes the bull was killed late Monday evening or early Tuesday. At this time a Montana Fish and Game Warden is processing the scene for evidence. If you have any information about this incident, please call Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks toll-free TIP-MONT Hotline at 1-800-TIP-MONT (1-800-847-6668) or the Musselshell County Sheriff’s Office at (406)323-1402.
Rural residents of Musselshell County, please keep your eyes and ears open, if you hear any shooting at night please call the Sheriff’s Office immediately.
