FAVORITE GIFTS!!!

We all love getting Gifts! What was this year’s Best gift? Feel free to be honest. It does not have to be expensive, elaborate, or… Just special. Hopefully it was not coal, unless you need to heat your home.

For some it may be the gift of family. Coming together to celebrate the holiday is special. For kids it is more about stuff! The number of presents may be more important than the kind. The process is more exciting than the actual gift!

Favorite Gifts change every year. As we age, gifts are more about being together than stuff. Kids love toys, teens love gift cards and money, adults love thoughtful things. Many of us enjoy gifts that are homemade from the heart.

The best gifts keep on giving. My kids gave me a Swiss Army knife etched with the date years ago. The “Waiter” has a blade, corkscrew, and a bottle opener. Perfect!

Sometimes the best gift is so simple. Maybe a simple hug and “I love You” is enough. The smile and laugh from your Grandchild are perfect. An embrace and a kiss from a loved one is the Best!

Honestly, my favorite gifts are the love and friendships that I have been blessed with. Great hunting and fishing buddies, and the loves in my life have kept me on track and on target.

Great hunting dogs are such a blessing. Have a hunting buddy that is always ready and doesn’t make fun of you when you miss is wonderful.

Grandchildren are in the mix too. It is so great to expose the kids to life changing adversities.

Gifts are just that! Open them slowly, celebrate them often, and cherish them always!
