Called the Palisades, the fin of rocks is the result of an ancient sea bed being thrust upward during mountain building millions of years ago. The run, also named Palisades, leads to one of Red Lodge Mountain’s high speed lifts. So it’s easy to see why this area of the hill is so popular.
