A Michigan man, 55 year-old Scott Kevin Meisterheim, told a Conservation Officer that he “is not the most ethical hunter, tagging other people’s deer, but I don’t care – I am addicted to the venison.” According to a Michigan DNR press release, they started investigating the poacher almost a year ago, following up on tips about his “suspicious activities” were submitted to the Poaching Hotline. He was charged and arraigned for the following:
“The DNR requested additional charges for illegal bait, failing to immediately validate/attach kill tags and using another’s (hunting) license.”
To make things worse, Meisterheim, is currently serving 18 months probation for aggravated domestic assault in and is due back in court on the DNR charges in February.
This is just a reminder that there are dummies out there. Don’t be a dummy.
