Did you know that trapping is the most effective form of wildlife management? Anything you learn about trapping should not come from anti-trappers, so make sure you ask a trapper (or trappers) if you have any questions about anything involved with trapping.
Here’s a video from Montana FWP about trapping. There are also excellent organizations, such as The Montana Trappers Association, which hosts educational and informational workshops throughout the year, and Montana Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife, with several trappers involved who are willing to mentor and answer questions about the process.
