These guys….

I don’t even want to make them even more famous by mentioning their names here again, but the two guys who cheated during the fishing tournament by stuffing lead weights and other things into their fish were actually sentenced yesterday, May 11th.

The duo pled guilty to “cheating and unlawful ownership of wild animals — and agreed to three-year suspensions of their fishing licenses. Cominsky also agreed to give up his bass boat”.   The two men were sentenced to “ten-day jail terms and other penalties, including the forfeiture of a boat valued at $100,000”, according to apnews.com.  They would have actually won more than $28,000 in prizes for winning if they weren’t caught.

To make it worse, the AP also reported that the pair was investigated in 2022 after being accused of cheating in a totally different walleye tournament, however, there was not enough evidence to charge them even though they did cheat.

Any thoughts on their sentence?
