At approximately 1pm today, the Park County Sheriff’s Office received a call of rafters stranded on a tree in the Yellowstone River near Emigrant. With the assistance of Livingston Fire and Rescue personnel, we were able to rescue all 8 individuals and return them to shore safely.
**The river is flowing around 20,000cfs at Livingston today and is full of debris. Please use extreme caution on and around the Yellowstone. It is a dangerous river and deserves respect.
Thank you to all the agencies that assisted with a swift and successful rescue.
