The 1st Annual 2026 Belfry FFA Coyote Derby wrapped up on January 18th and proved to be a strong and memorable start to what’s shaping up to be a great tradition. In the Advanced division, Team A5—Nick Olson and Mike Keyser—claimed first place, followed by Dazed and Confused (Travis Lehman, Michael Erdman, and Ripton Douglas) in second, with Poodles (Jeff Minchow, Eric Minchow, and Dylan Sandvick) taking third.
The Intermediate division was just as competitive, with Team 13—Tyler Aukshun, Tom Tibbles, and Marc Van Fleet—earning first place, while The Three J’s (Joe Kelleher, Jerry Hill, and Jake Morgan) and Bats (Jason Olson and Aidan Ross) tied for second.
The success of the inaugural derby was made possible by the generous support of its sponsors.
