3 Days of Self-Care and Hiking for Women Only: Explore Montana’s Wilderness

Ever wanted to ghost society for 72 hours, touch some grass, and scream into a mountain valley with a bunch of cool women? Here is your chance, according to 57 Hours. This isn’t your average suffer-fest hike—it’s a 3-day blend of wilderness survival and alpine self-care in Whitefish, Montana.

The Quick Deets

  • The Cost: From $1,380 USD
  • The Timeline: 3 Days (June through September)
  • The Group: All-women, inclusive, maximum 10 people, plus two very good dogs.
  • The Performed Labor: They provide the guides, tents, sleeping gear, and all food. You just provide the legwork.

Part Boot Camp, Part Spa

You’ll be setting up a basecamp near Doris Lake, meaning you only have to haul your heavy pack once. After that, you dump your gear and enjoy the backcountry without throwing out your back. Expect a mix of sweating up a mountain and sipping tea by the fire, featuring:

  • Glacial lake plunges (nature’s cold plunge).
  • Backpacking 101 lessons for total newbies.
  • Daily meditation, journaling, and stretching to pretend your calves aren’t burning.

The 3-Day Game Plan

  • Day 1: The Heavy Lift. Meet in Whitefish, pack your bags, and hike 2.5 miles to camp. Drop your heavy gear and either nap by the lake or tackle an optional unweighted 3-mile scramble up Doris Peak.
  • Day 2: The Choose-Your-Own-Adventure. Leave the heavy packs at basecamp. Take a lighter daypack for an 8-mile scenic cruise to Jenny Lake, or stay behind to read, sketch, and aggressively relax.
  • Day 3: The Victory Lap. One last coffee in the wild, pack up the tents, and hike 2.5 miles back to the shuttle van where cold drinks and salty snacks await.

A Quick Note from Past Hikers: While this is billed as “beginner-friendly,” gravity is still real. Backpacks are heavy and mountains are steep. Bring some stamina, but expect maximum fun.
