FWP wardens are seeking tips on a mule deer buck shot southeast of Hamilton

HAMILTON– Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks game wardens are seeking information on a mule deer buck that was shot southeast of Hamilton near Sleeping Child Road on October 31.

Wardens say that around 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31, two adult males in a silver pickup truck with matching topper shot and killed a mule deer buck. They were on Two Bear Forest Service Road, near Sleeping Child Road in Hunting District 270. The two left the area with the deer shortly after.

Anyone with possible information about this incident is encouraged to call 1-800-TIP-MONT or contact Bitterroot area game warden Taylor Gagnon directly at 406-552-9335.

FWP game wardens say that wildlife crimes like this one are often solved because of leads from the public and encourage anyone with information to make a report. Those who report information may be eligible for a cash reward. Visit tipmont.mt.gov for more information on reporting natural resource crimes.
