Canyon Ferry: Walleye action continues to be good from Pond 2 to Confederate, Silos to Hole in the Wall, White Earth and north along west shore and Hellgate, both inside and outside of the bay.  Try trolling bottom bouncers with a worm harness or slow death rigs in 20 to 30 feet of water with chartreuse being the preferred color.  Rapalas and jigs are working as well. A few perch are being caught by anglers using walleye rigs in these same areas.  Rainbows are being caught on walleye gear, lures or cowbells in the traditional walleye spots as well as the north end of the reservoir around Cemetary Island, Yacht Basin and Hellgate. An occasional smallmouth bass is showing up around Cemetary Island.  Hellgate ramp has provided some action for walleye from shore on jigs and worms.  Troy Humphrey, FWP, Helena

Hauser: The walleye bite has been good lately while jigging with crawlers or trolling bottom bouncers and worm harnesses inside the Causeway arm, below Canyon Ferry Dam, and around the dredge piles near Eldorado Bar. Perch fishing has been productive inside the Causeway Arm while using smaller jigs and crawler pieces. A few rainbows are being caught from shore at the Riverside Campground area while using crawlers and marshmallows and while trolling cowbells and spinner combos early in the morning between York Bridge and Black Sandy.  Chris Hurley, FWP, Helena

Holter: Rainbow fishing has been great on the lower end of the reservoir while trolling cowbells with wedding rings and crawlers 25 deep. Good numbers of perch and a few walleye are being found while pitching various jigs and worms in 15 to 25 feet of water around Cottonwood Creek, Mann Gulch, and the Clay Banks. The best kokanee bite has been just above the Dam during the early morning hours while trolling dodgers or cowbells with hoochies and shoepeg corn 50 to 80 feet deep.   Chris Hurley, FWP, Helena
