Canyon Ferry: Not many people got out over the weekend due to the inclement weather. Some walleye action can be found from the Silos north to Hole in the Wall and between Duck Creek and Confederate in 20-30 feet of water while using bottom-bouncers with flashers or slow-death rigs or crankbaits. Perch and rainbows are also being caught on traditional walleye gear. Rainbows are being caught on the north end and around the Silos while trolling cowbells, spoons or rapalas. Shore anglers are catching a few rainbows in various spots around the reservoir on worms or jigs. Troy Humphrey, FWP, Helena
Hauser: Rainbow fishing has been awesome while trolling blue or brown crankbaits between Black Sandy and York Bridge and inside of the Causeway Arm. Fishing from shore at the Causeway Bridge has been productive as well while using leech pattern flies, night crawlers, powerbait, and various spinners and spoons. Walleye and perch fishing has slowed down. Chris Hurley, FWP, Helena
Holter: Rainbow action has been awesome on the lower end of the reservoir while trolling cowbells with various spinner rigs tipped with worms. Good numbers of rainbows are also cruising the shorelines and are being caught with nightcrawlers at the boat ramps and Departure Point. A few perch and an occasional walleye are being caught with various jigs and worms around Cottonwood Creek Bay. Chris Hurley, FWP, Helena
Helena Valley Regulating Reservoir: The snagging season for Kokanee Salmon opened on September 1st and will run through October 31st. Limits are 35 salmon daily with 70 in possession. Chris Hurley, FWP, Helena
