Lakers- Good numbers of fish in the shallows now. The best biting fish were from 35-50 feet. Walleye Hunter 3/4 ounce jigs and a 4.8” sight flash or chartreuse colored paddle tail worked the best for us. We also caught a few casting spoons and crankbaits.
Smallmouth- Live minnows are still pulling big numbers of fish. Slip bobber and a #12 treble with a couple split shots, dead stick rods with an S&T tackle 1/4-1/8 ounce hair jig, or just a dead rod with a treble and a couple split shots was the deal.
Pike- Still have to hunt around for clean water to have the best success. Spoons, crankbaits, and live suckers fished around submerged weed beds caught the majority of the pike for us this past week.
