Bitterroot River Access Alert: Woodside Bridge FAS Closing for Several Days

A heads-up for Bitterroot River anglers and recreationists: Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) says vehicle access to Woodside Bridge Fishing Access Site near Corvallis will hit the pause button for two stretches, Sept. 22–25 and Sept. 29–Oct. 1. The closure lines up with Montana Department of Transportation work at the nearby Highway 323 bridge, where crews are gathering information for a possible future bridge design. While vehicles won’t be able to enter the FAS at any time during those dates, the walking path will remain open, so the river itself isn’t entirely off the menu. FWP will also post signs at nearby upstream and downstream access sites to help keep river users from arriving to an unexpected roadblock.
