When Anglers Go Viral In The Wrong Way
You could say this one was caught live… Last month, Officer McOmber with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife tracked down a pair of anglers on the Quillayute River after someone reported a livestream showing them breaking several fishing laws on camera. With help from dispatch, the officer found the stream — and the suspects — mid-broadcast, proudly showing off fish they weren’t supposed to pull from the water. When confronted, one tried to ditch his gear and admitted to using a barbed hook, while both ended up being cited for several violations, including exceeding limits and failing to record their catch.
In today’s world, if you’re not the one doing the recording, somebody else is always watching and/or recording, and breaking the rules is a guaranteed way to go viral for all the wrong reasons!
