A brief cold snap gave anglers some ice and fish, but the upcoming warm-up might take both back. Here’s Don Wilkins’ fishing report:

We got into a little ice fishing this weekend down the Dry Arm. We stuck to the back bays and found a good 5” of good, clear ice. Fishing was pretty good for walleye and pike; all came on tip-ups with suckers or fathead minnows. Depth was from 8-15 FOW.

Since Tuesday, we’ve had some pretty warm temps along with some rain and wet heavy snow. The forecast shows it cooling down the next couple of days, but then warming right back up at the beginning of next week. It seems unlikely with the updated forecast that we’ll be seeing much in the way of improving ice conditions for the next 5-7 days at least.
