We fished the dry arm again this weekend, and ice thickness averaged 5-6 inches in the bays and in a few spots out along the main channel.

Fishing was good again for walleye/ pike, with a few catfish showing up as well. In some places, the water was a little stained, and a single orange bead about 6” above the minnow worked pretty well.

If you are accessing via McGuire Creek Road, be aware that if it gets warm in the afternoon and the road becomes muddy, it can be almost impossible to get back out to the highway. Looked like someone found that out Monday afternoon and had a heck of a time getting out of there. Merry Christmas to everyone, and stay safe out there.
