Maybe you have just never had to use iron sights before, or maybe you’ve used them but always wondered if you were actually doing it right. Either way, this is one of those fundamentals that’s worth revisiting. This video is short and to the point, but it is an important one on how to shoot using iron sights.
It should be simple—almost every shooter on the planet was taught this at some point—but somewhere along the way, a lot of folks started leaning entirely on red dots. And red-dot optics are great and absolutely have their place; however, if you truly understand and master iron sights, you will not only be more confident when optics fail or aren’t available, but you will also become a better shooter with red dots and every other optic you use. Fundamentals truly never go out of style.
