Carson Bender learned the hard way that his calling skills might actually be too effective. While working his turkey call in Wisconsin, Carson managed to fool more than just a gobbler; instead of a bird, a bobcat curiously crept in, convinced it had found an easy meal. After a brief, high-stakes encounter that left him with a few scratches on his shoulder,
“Found out I’m good at calling cats and turkeys!”
Despite the adrenaline dump from the feline ambush, he stayed in the game and took a shot at a bird just three minutes later. He ended up missing the turkey at 35 yards, eventually deciding to trade the woods for a waiting room to get his shoulder checked out at the doctor’s office.
