The following message came from Tongue River Marina on Friday, February 20th:
My (Ryan’s) thoughts on ice conditions currently. I was out there a few hours ago and from what I can tell from shore, There are some very sketchy areas.. right off of campers point South, there is open water, you can see from the road coming in. There is also an area of open water off Campers point North, right by the pond. Keep in mind, with the warm temps and wind we’ve had, there may have been some more open spots before it got cold again. Them with the snow, which covered everything up, there may be some “bridges” of thin ice.. if you decide to venture out there, please use Extreme Caution and Common sense!!!
After the last 2 weekends of Spending the day watching YouTube waiting for customers, we have decided to close up the Marina until we have open water again. Thank you to all who supported us!!
